PETER C. GREGORY Pete Gregory of Burns Bros. signed off from St. Boniface, Canada, on January 21, 2001. Markets today were down but, in spite of this, spirits were up. Well known by people in the Canadian livestock industry for his knowledge of cattle, sheep and other four-legged beasts, he plied his trade as livestock buyer/seller at Union Stockyards and later as manager/shareholder of Winnipeg Livestock Sales. His integrity and forthrightness was recognized by all who dealt with him. Special thanks to his customers of 50 plus years, especially those who continued to remain in contact with him after his retirement; Andy Paterson, Stanley Paterson and Greg Wanless deserve special mention, as they remained fond friends and true supports to the end. His special memories included Dick Sobey Sr., Gordon Mould, Dennis Morrow and Len Gamble. Survived by wife of 55 years, Naomi and daughters, Holly and Heather (Peter) grandchildren, Benjamin, Jarrad, Kyle and Glen (Julie) predeceased by son Paul and brothers, Tommy and Frank; remembered by brothers, Ben (Margarette) and Jim; sister Tess Munro; cousin Monica (Jim) Dangerfield and Naomis cousin Pauline (Art) Mitchell. Special thanks to Drs. Salem, Wong and Lezack, Victoria Hospital staff and Elizabeth who kept his house sparkling. Donations may be sent in the Gregory name to The Sisters of the Precious Blood, 2210 - 25th Avenue, Regina, Sask., S4S 4E6.
