JOHN HOROSKO (1923 - 2001) On January 20, 2001, our Brother and Uncle John passed away peacefully at his home in Niagara Falls, Ontario. John was born on September 30, 1923 in Garson, MB, where he received his education. After four years in the Canadian Army (1941-1945), he moved to Niagara Falls doing the work he loved as a Master Diesel Mechanic. John was predeceased by his parents Andrew and Anna, his sister-in-law Nellie and brother-in-law Luigi. He will be sadly missed by his brother Nick, sisters Mary Menescardi, Sophie Horosko and Doris (Stan) Hayden and his nieces and nephews: Norma (Orlando), Michelle, Anders, Marisa, Luisa (Joe) as well as many relatives and friends in the areas of Niagara Falls and in Garson, MB. Prayers will be said for John on Friday, January 26, 2001 at 7:00PM at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated on Saturday, January 27, 2001 at 10:00 AM at Sts. Vladimir and Olga Cathedral, 115 McGregor St. with Rev. Fr. Mikhail Kouts officiating. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery. The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to Hetherington and Deans Funeral Home, Niagara Falls, and Cropo Funeral Chapel, Wpg., for their support and compassion and to the many dedicated and caring friends in the areas of Niagara Falls, Garson and Winnipeg.
