HENRY SCHELLENBERG April 24, 1916 - January 23, 2001 Henry was taken from us after a lengthy illness at the age of 84. He leaves to mourn his wife of 51 years, Dorothy; daughter Audrey (Dave) Moore; son Ken and grandchildren, Don and Rick; also sisters, Neta Penner, Lena (Pete) Froese; sisters-in-law, Tina Schellenberg, Nettie Schellenberg, Gertrude Dyck and Anne Nickel, and numerous nieces and nephews. Henry was predeceased by his parents, and brothers, Pete and Jake. Henry was a very giving person, loved to laugh and was a master story teller. He immigrated from Russia to Canada in 1923, settling in the Gnadental area and later to Grunthal. Funeral service will be held on Friday, January 26 at 11:00 a.m. at the North Kildonan Mennonite Church, Cheriton and Roch, with Rev. A. Albert Durksen officiating. Interment in Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens. Viewing at the church prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations may be made to the charity of your choice or the Heart & Stroke Foundation, 301-352 Donald St., Winnipeg R3B 2H8.
