OLGA ANNA BACHMANN 1923 - 2001 It is with great sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of Olga, beloved wife of Karl, on Wednesday, January 24, 2001 at St. Boniface General Hospital. Olga was born in Lwow, Poland. She arrived in England from Germany in 1946 and married Karl. In 1957 she moved with her family to Winnipeg. In addition to Karl; she is survived by four children, son John (Beverley) daughter Sophia Munro (Jim) daughter Elizabeth (Ron McCulloch) and son Andrew (Karrol) and eight grandchildren, Rachel, Scott, Ingrid, Ella, Krigh, Christopher, Aaron and Nolan; and sister Boguslawa in Poland. Olga was a gentle, generous and caring soul who was happiest when in the company of her family. A measure of the impact she had on her family is displayed by the arrival of five of her out of province grandchildren within 48 hours from as far away as Germany. The "Grandma Makes Perogies" video will be cherished forever by all. She was a member of St. Andrew Bobola Parish and of the Catholic Womens League. The family wishes to extend their appreciation to the responding paramedics and staff at St. Boniface General Hospital, in particular, the attending nurse Geri and Dr. Sharma in the ICS unit. Prayers will be held at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, January 27 at St. Andrew Bobola Parish, 341 Marion Street, followed by a Mass of the Resurrection at 10:00 a.m. Interment will take place at Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to be made to the St. Andrew Bobola Parish rebuilding fund. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL IN CARE OF ARRANGEMENTS, PHONE 586-8044.
