Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARION PATON Peacefully on January 24, 2001, Marion Isabell Paton passed away at the Victoria General Hospital after a brief illness. Marion will be lovingly remembered by her son David and his wife Debby; her granddaughter Alexandra and her nieces, Shirley Hall of Thunder Bay, Bernice Gruenke of Winnipeg, Marian Mohns of Victoria, B.C. and Betty McMorrow of San Diego, California. She was predeceased by her husband Bill in December, 1980; her sisters, Vera Samson and Frances Mold and her brother Ralph Cramm. Marion was born on May 19, 1909 in Owen Sound, Ont., the youngest child of the late Samuel and Julia Cramm. As an infant she moved to Raeburn, Man. and then as a young woman to Winnipeg where she worked at the Searle Grain Company. She married Bill in July, 1948 and later worked at the Saskatchewan Wheat Pool until her retirement in 1974. Marion loved her family and friends and especially the time spent with them during nearly 40 summers at the cottage at Victoria Beach. She was a true lady with a quiet and gentle soul and treated everyone throughout her life with kindness and respect. A memorial service will be held on Monday, January 29 at 11:00 a.m. at Regents Park United Church, 613 St. Marys Road with the Reverend Bill Millar officiating. Interment will take place in Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens at a later date. The family wishes to thank the staff at Vista Park Lodge for the wonderful care given to Marion for the past two years.
