ANTHONY SCHAEN Suddenly, on Wednesday, January 24, 2001, Anthony Schaen passed away at the Deer Lodge Centre at the age of 82 years. Anthony will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 54 years, Ollie; daughter Debra; grandson Emmet; sisters, Anna of California, Susie, and Hilda of Winnipeg; brothers, Andrew, Ed, Tommy, and Walter; sister-in-law Joanne; brother-in-law Harry; as well as many nieces, nephews, and especially Bruce. Anthony was predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Rosa; brothers, Paul and Wayne; and sister Hetty. He served in the Army overseas in the Canadian 17th Field Regiment RCA - 5th Canadian Division. Anthony was a member of the Public Service of Canada for over 35 years and was a proud recipient of the Queens Medal in recognition of his service. Anthony was a very loving husband, father and grandfather. Anthony will be sadly missed by his family and many friends. Memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 27, 2001 at 12:30 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue. A gathering of family and friends will be held in the Chapel Lawn Reception Centre. The family wishes to thank all those who cared for and supported Anthony over the years. Flowers are gratefully declined. Those wishing to remember Anthony may make a donation to a charity of their choice.
