ANNE SWANSON On January 23, 2001, at Oakview Personal Care Home, Anne Swanson passed away at the age of 72 years. Anne leaves to cherish her memory her husband of 50 years, Stanley; sons, Stan Jr. (Helene), Roger (Karen) Gary (Chris), Greg (Tracey) and six grandchildren who made her so very proud. Moms battle with arthritis had been a very trying one. It was fought with dignity and an inner strength that amazed us all. In the past few years Mom couldnt get out as much as she would have liked, but her core of special friends, who spent many an hour visiting her, made up for that. The family is very grateful for their kindness to Anne. Also, special thanks to Jackie Gushuliak, our guardian angel, who has been there for Mom for many years. The family would like to thank the various medical personnel who treated Mom over the years. A special thank you to all the staff at Oakview Personal Care home. Your efforts and friendship to Mom are appreciated by all. Flowers are gratefully declined. If friends so desire, donations in Annes memory may be made to the Canadian Arthritis Society, 105 - 386 Broadway, Winnipeg MB R3C 3R6, or to a charity of your choice. Cremation has taken place. An informal gathering of friends and family will take place at the Chapel Lawn Reception Centre, 4000 Portage Ave., at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 27. Moms legacy was her inner strength.
