OLGA CUMMINE (nee OLSCHER) Peacefully at Concordia Hospital on Friday, January 26, 2001, Olga Cummine passed away at the age of 90. Olga will be lovingly remembered by her sons, Clayton (Doreen) and Gordon (Janice) daughter Wendy; grandsons, John (Charlene), Terrence (Tammy), Tim and Michael (Amanda) great-grandsons, John, Riley and Dillon; sister Adeline Kadlubec and many nieces and nephews. Olga was predeceased by her husband of 66 years, John Cummine; parents, Paul and Helen Olscher; brother Charles and wife Lena; sisters, Anne, Helen and Emma and brothers-in-law, Gilly Coldrick, Bob Milton and Richard Bogle. Olga was born on January 11, 1911 in McKim, Sask. She enjoyed her youth and often told stories of the happy times growing up on the farm. On July 25, 1931 she married John Cummine of Melville, Sask. She devoted most of her life to raising their three children but also found time to be an avid curler and bowler. In 1970 she embarked on a career at Woolco Red Grill and retired six years later at the age of 65. She was creative; knitting, crocheting and sewing clothes for her family. She truly enjoyed her garden and preserving its fruits. In her later years she could always be found playing cards. She will be fondly missed for the fun way she had about her and a twinkle in her eye. Many thanks to the staff on 3W at Concordia Hospital for their recent care. Services will be held on Tuesday, January 30 at 2:00 p.m. with viewing at 1:30 p.m. at Glen Eden Funeral Chapel and Memorial Gardens, 4477 Main St., Winnipeg, Man. Interment to follow at Glen Eden Memorial Gardens. A gathering of family and friends will follow in the Glen Eden Reception Centre. In lieu of flowers, donations in Olgas memory may be made to the Manitoba Lung Association, 629 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB, R3A 1P6 or a charity of your choice. Arrangements entrusted to: GLEN EDEN FUNERAL HOME 4477 MAIN STREET 338-7111
