LEON LANSARD Peacefully, on Friday, January 26, 2001, with his family by his side, Leon Lansard passed away at the Sainte-Anne Hospital in Sainte-Anne, Man., at the age of 91 years. He leaves to mourn his passing his passing, his four children, Georgette, Diane (Andre), Leo-Paul (Rachel) and Roger (Therese) ten grandchildren, Danny Bouchard (Donalee), Paulette Bouchard, Pauline Bouchard, Cathy Perron, Joanne Landry (Eric), Jolene Hogue (Rob), Jennifer Jolicoeur (Andy), Kevin Lansard, Linda Lansard (Darcy) and Donald Lansard; nine great-grandchildren, Justin Perrin, Melissa and Meagan Bouchard, Shawn and Caitlin Perron, Makayla Landry, and Jessica, Ashley and Janelle Jolicoeur. He is also survived by his sister Claudia of Portage la Prairie; brothers-in-law, Edmond Dufault of Haywood and Gurney Arnold of Hillsdale, Michigan. He was predeceased by his wife Antoinette (nee Gauthier) on February 9, 1991; son Gerald in 1957; his three brothers, Jean-Marie, Alfred and Claudius; four sisters, Marie, Alice, Leonie, and Clemence as well as numerous brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. Leon was born in Haute-Savoie, France in 1910. He immigrated to Canada with his family in 1915. He married Mom, Antoinette in 1946 and together they lived on their farm in Ross, Man., until their retirement in Richer, Man. Funeral Mass for Leon will be celebrated by Father Marcel Carriere in the Sainte-Anne Roman Catholic Church in Sainte-Anne, Man., on Wednesday, January 31 at 2:00 p.m. Viewing will take place prior to the mass at 1:30 p.m. Interment will take place in the Sainte-Anne Parish Cemetery following the mass. Pallbearers will be Leons grandchildren, Danny and Pauline Bouchard, Cathy Perron, Linda, Donald and Kevin Lansard. Honorary pallbearer will be Justin Perrin. The family extends special thanks to the Villa Youville and the medical staff at the Sainte-Anne Hospital as well as to the homecare workers. Those wishing to do so may make a donation in Leons memory to the Sainte-Genevieve Cemetery Fund. LECLAIRE BROTHERS in care of arrangements. 775-2220
