BERNICE IWANICKI (GERAS)

BERNICE IWANICKI (nee GERAS) Passed away peacefully, on January 25, 2001 at Riverview Health Centre, at the age of 81, after a brief illness. She was predeceased by her husband Bill in 1994. Bernice leaves to cherish her memory, her children, Nina Iwanicki, Christine Buchko (Glenn) and her beloved grandchildren, Michael, Tyler and Laura. She is also survived by her sisters, Frances, Adeline and Angela. Bernice was a lifelong member of St. John Cantius Church and an active member of the C.W.L. Her gardening, reading and tending to the wild birds filled her days with joy. The family wishes to thank the staff at Riverview Health Centre, especially Diane, Alina, Tony and Mardi for all their care and compassion. Special thanks to friends, Jeanette and Jim Moran, Clifford and Sandra Thorsteinson for their concern, kindness and help. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Bernices memory to the Manitoba Cancer Treatment and Research Foundation, 100 Olivia St., Winnipeg, MB R3E 9Z9. Following cremation, a memorial mass will be held on January 30 at 11:00 a.m. at St. John Cantius Roman Catholic Church, 846 Burrows Ave., with Rev. Fr. Henry Uczniak officiating.
