JAMES OLINYK James Olinyk passed away on Friday, January 26, 2001 at the age of 80 years at the Seven Oaks Hospital, Winnipeg after a brief illness. James will be sadly missed by his beloved wife Mary, of 56 years and his daughter Marge (Gordon) daughters-in-law, Jill (Ken), Marie (Bruce), Dorthy (Chris) and his son-in-law Don; six grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; brothers, Mike (Josie), Nick (Darlene) sister Jean (Herb) and sister-in-law Rita (Al). James was predeceased by his parents, Bill and Lena; a twin brother in infancy and brothers, Harry and George; daughter Lillian and sons, Roger, Jerry, John and grandson Bob. James was born in Samburg, Sask., and left home at an early age to work on the railway, then in the mines in Sudbury, Ont. That is where he met his wife Mary. They lived in Winnipeg where Jim worked for Building Products until his retirement. They moved to Gull Lake in 1980 where Jim enjoyed country life doing a bit of fishing, camping, and travelling in his camper. He also really enjoyed feeding and watching the birds. A prayer service will be held on Monday, January 29 (tonight) at 7:30 p.m. at the Sobering Funeral Chapel, Beausejour. Diving liturgy will be celebrated on Tuesday, January 30 at 10:30 a.m. at Sts. Peter & Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church, Thalberg, Man., with Rev. John Sholdak officiating, assisted by Deacon Victor Humniski. Interment will follow in the parish Cemetery. GONE BUT NEVER FORGOTTEN!
