LEONARD CLARENCE PARK Peacefully in his sleep on Sunday, January 28, 2001, Leonard went to join his brother and friend Brian. He was born on November 6, 1939 in Lac du Bonnet, MB. He was a member of the Princess Patricia Light Infantry from 1957-1961. He was employed with the C.P.R. for 34 years, retiring in 1995. He was an avid story teller, with a fantastic memory, and never had a loss for words. He thoroughly enjoyed his retirement years as they were spent at the cottage, many a time fishing with his children, and many friends. Leonard loved to garden, but enjoyed giving away the produce even more to family and friends. He leaves to cherish memory his beloved wife, Irene of 38 years; sons, Richard (Elaine), Gregory, Timothy, and daughter, Sandra; his loving companion Major; mother Cassie Park; mother-in-law Annie Rogocki and family; brothers and sisters, Roy (Grace) of Powell River B.C., Joyce Mitchell (Ross), Allan, Doreen Cantwell, Kenny (Irene), Judy Kidd (Stewart), Patsy Livermore (Rick) and Curtis; sister-in-law Dorothy, numerous nieces, and nephews. He was predeceased by his father Cecil in 1969. Cremation has taken place. As per his request no formal service will be held. Family will gather together in the spring to Celebrate his life at his favourite place, the cottage in Lac du Bonnet. "Remember me as I have lived, and not as I have died."
