KEVIN KATAZINSKI It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our dear Kevin on January 27, 2001, at the age of 27 years. Left to cherish his memories are his father Alex (Verna), sisters Charlene (friend Gabriel), Corinne (Neil), Bridget (Gene), brother Daryl (Rhonda), his nephews, Noah and Wyatt, and niece Natalie. Kevin was predeceased by his mother, Margaret in 1982, as well as his maternal and paternal grandparents. Kevin was born on August 13, 1973 in Selkirk, Manitoba. He grew up in Tyndall and attended school in Garson, Tyndall, Beausejour, and graduated grade 12 from Selkirk Comprehensive School in 1992. Kevin then pursued his Mechanical Engineering Diploma at Red River College. Kevin completed his first year, however was unable to continue due to unforeseen medical circumstances. Despite this, Kevin maintained his determination and spirit. Kevin enjoyed his life on our family farm, and participated in every aspect of its operations. Kevins knowledge and problem solving ability was an asset to all who knew him, as he was frequently called upon. Kevin especially enjoyed times spent with his family, friends and many moments with his niece and nephews. Kevin touched many lives with his quick wit and sense of humour. His incredible unselfishness, strength and courage will be matched by none. A very special thank you to Myrtle Obie for her caring, love and compassion. The family also extends their thanks to Dr. West, the staff of MICU, IICU and D2 at Health Sciences Centre. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, February 1, 2001 at Sobering Funeral Chapel, Beausejour, at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at St. Marys Roman Catholic Cemetery, Beausejour. The family graciously declines all flowers, however if friends so desire, a donation may be made to a charity of choice.
