Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemorySOEUR EVELYNE DEGAGNE (Soeur Marie de lEnfant Jesus) Paisiblement a la Maison-Mere des Missionnaires Oblates de St-Boniface le 28 janvier 2001, Soeur Evelyne Degagne (S. Marie de lEnfant Jesus) agee de cent-un ans et apres quatre-vingt-un ans de vie religieuse. Elle laisse dans le deuil: les membres de sa communaute religieuse, sa parente: plusieurs nieces et neveux parmi lesquels se trouvent Beatrice Walsh de Kelowna, Colombie Britannique, Martha Degagne de Kenora, Ontario, Laura Roberts de Winnipeg, Manitoba, Thomas Degagne de St-Boniface, Manitoba, ainsi que plusieurs cousines et cousins. Soeur Evelyne a dedie sa vie a leducation. Elle a enseigne a St-Charles, Fannystelle, Transcona, Pelican Rapids, Fort Alexandre, Cross Lake, Camperville, Ecole Ste-Marie, St-Vital au Manitoba; McIntosh en Ontario, et Gravelbourg, St-Philippe et Lestock en Saskatchewan. Soeur Evelyne aimait beaucoup lenseignement; elle etait tres attachee a ses eleves. Le visionnement et les prieres auront lieu en la chapelle de la Maison-Mere, 601, rue Aulneau, a St-Boniface, le 31 janvier a 13h15 et la messe des funerailles sera celebree dans la meme chapelle le 31 janvier a 14h. Lenterrement des cendres aura lieu au cimetiere de St. Boniface, rue Archibald, vendredi le 2 fevrier at 10h30. Les arrangements funebres ont ete confies au Salon Mortuaire Cropo. SISTER EVELYNE DEGAGNE (Sister Marie de lEnfant Jesus) Passed away peacefully on January 28, 2001 at the Mother-House of the Missionary Oblate Sisters in St. Boniface, Sister Evelyne Degagne (S. Marie de lEnfant Jesus) aged 101 years and after 81 years of religious life. She leaves to mourn her passing the members of her religious community; her relatives, several nieces and nephews among whom are Beatrice Walsh from Kelowna, British Columbia, Martha Degagne from Kenora, Ontario, Laura Roberts from Winnipeg, Manitoba, Thomas Degagne from St. Boniface, Manitoba, as well as many cousins. Sister Evelyne dedicated her life to education. She taught in St. Charles, Fannystelle, Transcona, Pelican Rapids, Ft. Alexander, Cross Lake, Camperville, Ecole Ste-Marie, St. Vital in Manitoba; McIntosh in Ontario and Gravelbourg, St. Philip and Lestock in Saskatchewan. Sister Evelyne enjoyed teaching; she was a devoted teacher. Members of the Congregation, family and friends may pay their respects at the Mother-House, 601 Aulneau Street in St. Boniface on January 31 at 1:15 p.m. when viewing and prayers will take place. Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated in the chapel at 2:00 p.m. on January 31 at 601 Aulneau Street. Interrment will be at the St. Boniface Cemetery, Archibald Street, on Friday, February 2 at 10:30 a.m. The Cropo Funeral Chapel is in care of arrangements, 586-8044.
