HELEN DYCK It is with deepest sorrow that we announce the death of our dear sister and aunt, Helen, on January 28, 2001, surrounded by some of her family. She is lovingly remembered by her brother Ike and Anna Dyck of Abbottsford, B.C.; sisters, Mary Friesen of Winkler, Anne of London, England, Katy and Rudy Janzen of Winkler; brothers, John and Bev of Victoria, B.C., Dr. Walter Dyck of Temple, Texas, U.S.A.; brother-in-law Don Toews of Calgary, AB; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents and sister Hilda. Helen was born in Russia and came to Canada as a young child. She spent her early years in Winkler. Helens professional career was spent in Winnipeg, initially with the Industrial Work Shop and then with the Federal Government as an Employment Councillor until her retirement. Her many interests included concerts, reading and extensive travelling to many countries visiting, or travelling with her extended family of brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place in accordance with Helens wishes. There will be a memorial service at a later date celebrating Helens life. The family expresses their gratitude to the staff of Winkler Bethel Hospital for their kind and compassionate care. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Palliative Care Unit at Bethel Hospital, Winkler. "God embrace you Rest until we meet again."
