CHRISTINA GUIMOND (nee DANIELS) Peacefully on Sunday, January 28, 2001 at the Health Science Centre, Winnipeg, MB, Christina Guimond, aged 69 years, beloved wife of the late Gordon Guimond of Sagkeeng First Nation. She leaves to mourn her children, Cookie (Percy), Betty, Cecile (Herm), Dianne, Larry (Tracy), Linda, Clifford (Anita), Shirley (Dwayne), Henry (Buffy), Bev (Charles) sister-in-law Martha Daniels; foster children, Leslie Sinclair, Robert Courchene, Nelson Sinclair, Russell Sinclair as well as 43 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, family friends, Hank Black, Lloyd (Arlene) Guimond as well as numerous nieces and nephews, relatives and friends. Christina was predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Lydia Daniels, husband Gordon, daughter Marlene, grandson Ryan, great-grandchildren Autumn and Michael, son Bernard Robert Cook, brother Leon Daniels and a sister Florence Cook. Wake services will be held at the St. Alexander Roman Catholic Church, Ft. Alexander, MB beginning January 30. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Friday, February 2 at 2:00 p.m. also from the Church with Fr. Laval Cloutier officiating. Interment will be in the Parish Cemetery. The family would like to thank the Sagkeeng Christian Fellowship Group, Central Dialysis of Selkirk and the Pine Falls Hospital Dialysis, Dr. Van Zyl, Dr. Nieman for the care and concern shown to Christina. A special thank you to Francine Cory for the loving care she gave our mother and to the Virginia Fontaine Memorial Center for assisting the family. If friends so desire memorial donations may be made to the Canadian National Institute for the Blind, Winnipeg, MB or to the Diabetes Foundation, Manitoba Division.
