Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryWESLEY ALEXANDER DRYSDALE Wesley Alexander Drysdale passed away peacefully at the Assiniboine Centre on January 29, 2001, with his family at his side. Wes was born on May 20, 1943 in Brandon and resided there his entire life. He was educated in Brandon, then moved on to teach in the Rolling River School Division, Brandon University, and to the Counsellor / Registrars position at the Brandon General Hospital School of Nursing. He was very active in a variety of community services including the United Way, Planned Parenthood, and Child and Family Services. Wes greatest joys in life were his family, the brief time spent with his granddaughter Jadianne, close friends, time spent at the cottage at Thomas Lake, and vacations to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. He is lovingly survived and remembered by his devoted and caring wife Gayle, son Jason (Susan), granddaughter Jadianne, son Chris (Heidi), brother Ron (Sue), mother-in-law Margaret Shanks, sister-in-law Lorna (Stu) Marshall, and cherished aunt Dot McAlpine, as well as nieces, nephews, and cousins. Wes was predeceased by his mother and father, Fran and Merl Drysdale, and father-in-law Lorne Shanks. A celebration of Wes life will be held at the Brockie Donovan Chapel on Friday, February 2 at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Rosewood Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 415 - 1st St., Brandon, MB R7A 2W8, or to a charity of ones choice.
