EDWIN (EDDY) MARTEINSSON March 14, 1932 - January 29, 2001 On January 29, 2001 at the Arborg and District Personal Care Home after a battle with cancer, Edwin Marteinsson, aged 68 years, of Hnausa, MB, passed away. Edwin was born in Winnipeg on March 14, 1932 to Edwin and Gudney Marteinsson. He lived all his life at the family farm "Hofi" in Hnausa. He is survived by his only brother Bjarni (Elaine) two nephews, Bruce (Grace) of Arborg, and Darren (Sheila) of Winnipeg; his niece Holly of Riverton; great-nephews, Mark, Ward, Ryan and Sterling; and great-nieces, Nikki and Trisha. Edwin was predeceased by his parents, Edwin and Gudney. At Edwins request, cremation has taken place and a private family burial will be held at a later date. The family wishes to give a special thanks to the staff of the Arborg and District Personal Care Home for the wonderful care shown to Edwin. If friends so desire, memorial donations can be made in his memory to the Arborg and District Personal Care Home, the Riverton-Hnausa Lutheran Church, or a charity of ones choice.
