Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryANNE GIESBRECHT (nee FRIESEN) Peacefully, on January 28, 2001, Anne Giesbrecht, age 90, passed away at Oakview Place, with her family at her side. Anne leaves to cherish her memory her two daughters, Patricia Fast and her husband Ernie and Lynn Bergen and her husband Richard; son-in-law Dorland Borys; six grandchildren, Robert Fast, Tamara Funk, David and Jeffrey Borys and Brian and Michael Bergen; great granddaughter Tannis Borys; as well as one sister Erna Peters of Dawson Creek. She was predeceased by her husband Eugene, daughter Norma, three brothers and six sisters. Anne was a devoted and creative homemaker who gave unendingly of her love and time to her family. Throughout her life she was always quick to respond to the needs of others. She will be remembered for her generosity and kindness and wonderful sense of humour. The family wishes to extend special thanks to the staff at Oakview Extendicare, 2nd floor, for their care, kindness, and support given over the last several years. Funeral service will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, February 1, 2001 at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue, with Rev. Gordon Peters officiating. Interment will follow in Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens. Viewing will take place one half hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, a donation may be made to the Salvation Army, 500 - 55 Donald Street, Winnipeg MB R3C 1L8.
