Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemorySTAN GROENING May 14, 1944 - January 30, 2001 Suddenly and peacefully, at home, Stan passed away on January 30, 2001. Stan will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his beloved wife, Trudy, of 36 years. Together they had seven children, two sons and five daughters: Corinne (James) Forsman, Dion (Kathy) Groening, Audrey (Alan) Joyce, Laura (Cliff) Wiebe, Angie (Mike) Paulic, Sheryl (Andrew) Gradt and Mark (Lisa) Groening; as well as 14 grandchildren, Jason, Cody, D.J., Chase, Jamie, Jesse, Luke, Joshua, Lyndsay, Eric, A.J., Fayth, Tabatha and Liam. Stan is also survived by four brothers, Frank, Abe, Jake and Leslie; and five sisters, Marie, Marge, Evelyn, Helen and Eileen; along with many brothers and sisters-in-law and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his two brothers, Johnny and Benjamin, in infancy; his mother Mary Groening in 1985; his father Frank Groening in 1994; and grandson Garrett in 1998. Stan was born in Altona, Man. and married Trudy Dyck on May 2, 1964 in Winkler, Man. He then was baptized in Morden, Man. in June of 1968. Stan was last employed at Kindersley Transport until he experienced heart trouble in 1993, which forced his early retirement. Stan, more than anything, enjoyed camping with family and friends. Cheerful, funny and often described as the "Life of the Party", Stan gave from the heart to the many friends and family he had. He will be sadly missed and joyfully remembered by all. WE LOVE YOU DAD AND TRUST THAT YOU ARE WITH THE LORD IN OUR HOME ON HIGH Viewing will be held at Wiebe Funeral Home, Winkler on Friday from 1:00 to 7:00 p.m. and at the church prior to service. Funeral service will be held at the Winkler Sommerfeld Church on Saturday, February 3, 189 2nd St. in Winkler, Man. at 2:00 p.m. Funeral arrangements are made by Wiebe Funeral Home, Winkler. 325-4201.
