HELEN TREVERS Peacefully on Sunday, January 28, 2001, our beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend passed away at Tri-Lake Health Centre at the age of 84 years. She leaves to mourn her passing her daughter, Sandra (Tom) her son Jim (Lois) three grandchildren, Andrea Noble (Bruce), Scott Trevers, Heather Hill (Greg) three great-grandchildren, Jason Link, Lauren and Rachel Noble. She is also survived by her brother Jim (Dot) and her sister Mary Macaulay as well as several nieces and nephews and cousins. Helen was born on October 31, 1916 to Andrew and Emeline Miller. She attended Highview School and completed her formal education at Kelvin High School in Winnipeg. Helen married Fred on November 15, 1941. Due to work commitments Fred and Helen moved several times. At each new location Helen became an active participant in the community. With her outgoing personality she made many long-lasting friends. Helen loved gardening and flowers. She was an avid golfer and enjoyed her winter home in Mesa where she could pursue this passion all winter. Helen also enjoyed doing handwork and many hospital patients have enjoyed her lap rugs. In Killarney, she looked forward to the weekly card game with her friends. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Fred, in 1998; her parents, Andrew and Emeline Miller (nee Campbell) and three brothers, George, Guy and Bob. A memorial service will be held in the Holy Trinity Anglican Church in Killarney, MB on Friday, February 2, 2001 at 2 p.m. The family would like to express their thanks to the staff of Bayside for the care and kindness shown to Helen during the past three years. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations may be made to the Alzheimers Society, 437-9th St., Brandon, MB R7A 4A9. Killarney and Boissevain Funeral Homes Ltd. in care of arrangements.
