CASANDRA (CASSY) HOPE PALMER 1981 - 2001 It is with great sadness that we announce that on Tuesday, May 29, 2001 Cassy passed away at the age of 19 years due to an unfortunate accident. She leaves to mourn her family, mother Pat; brother Jim (Barb) and their children, Wolfgang and Sara; father Garry Palmer; grandmother Bernice Palmer; brother Garry Jr. (Theresa) and their sons, Alex and Miles; uncle Wayne Hayes; and numerous family and friends. She was predeceased by grandfather James Palmer, grandfather Walter Hayes, grandmother Anne Kuchinski, and brother Aaron Palmer. Cassy was a community raised child who graduated from Roseau Valley School in 1999. She furthered her education at Herzing College where she acquired her accounting degree in 2000. During that time she worked part-time at the Green Brier Inn. After getting her degree she entered the "real world" finding a job at Crown Cap. She found her true love Bruno Hiller Jr. She loved going out with her many friends and just spending time with them. Cassy has earned her wings. A celebration of Cassys life will be held Saturday, June 2, 3:30 p.m. at the Greenridge United Church, Greenridge, MB (Hwy No. 59 South to PR No. 201, nine miles west to Greenridge Road and one mile north). Viewing 3:00 p.m. at the church. Interment to follow at Greenridge Cemetery. A gathering of family and friends will be held in the church basement. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Casandra Palmer Educational Bursary Fund in care of Roseau Valley School, G.D. Dominion City, MB R0A 0H0. A special thank you to the doctors and staff of M.I.C.U. at Health Sciences Centre. We know that Cassy will live on in others through her gift of organ donation.
