AUGUST ALLGEIER On Wednesday, January 31, 2001 at the Vita District Health Centre, Mr. August Allgeier of the Vita Personal Care Home passed away at the age of 90 years. He was born on May 19, 1910 in the Ukraine, Russia. He married Adele Schatschneider in 1933. To this union three children were born, Reinhold, Leopold and Lina. The family fled Russia with many other refugees to escape the war front. They settled in Germany and in 1951 immigrated to Canada. They arrived at Morris, MB and in the summer of that year moved to Sprague where August resided until due to health reasons, he entered Vita Care Home. He was predeceased by his wife Adele in 1965. He is survived by two sons, Reinhold (Annette) and Leopold of Sprague; one daughter Lina (Fred) Neumann of Frobisher, SK; two grandsons, Walter (Tracy) Neumann of Frobisher, and Richard Neumann of Estevan, SK; one brother and three sisters, all of Germany. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 3 at 2:00 p.m. at the Sprague Community Hall. Interment will follow in the Sprague Community Cemetery. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Flowers most grateful declined. Donations may be made to the charity of ones choice.
