Date of Passing: Feb 01, 2001
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryVICTORIA (VICKIE) LILLY LYTWYN 1918 - 2001 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Vickie Lytwyn of Winnipegosis on February 1, 2001. Vickie was predeceased by her parents, Stephen and Pearl Lytwyn; brother Marvin Lytwyn of Winnipegosis and by her nephew Gary Lytwyn of Abbottsford, BC. Vickie will be lovingly remembered by her nieces, Marvis (Thor) Sigurdson of Winnipeg, Torri (Bill) Merritt of Courtney, BC; nephews, Steven (Liz) Lytwyn of Winnipegosis, Spence (June) Lytwyn of Winnipeg; great-nephews and nieces, Ryne (Shirlee) Sigurdson, Kaol (Sherri) Sigurdson, Kardi (Susan) Sigurdson, Trevor Merritt, Tara Lytwyn, Trent (Yoomin) Lytwyn, Scott (Laura) Lytwyn, Jeff Lytwyn, Chris (Monica) Lytwyn and Robyn Lytwyn; great-great nephews, Darrell, Dennis, Tyler, Geordi, Kevin, Conrad, Cole and by her sister-in-law Beth Lindsay of Comox, BC. Vickie was born and raised in Winnipegosis. She was very active in her community in sports, church and the OORP where she was a charter member and was honoured last year with her 55 year pin. She loved to play bridge and was an excellent cook. The one thing that she always impressed upon us, is that family and friends are the most important thing in the world. Vickie had many lifelong friends whose lives she touched and who touched hers. She was always grateful for, and respectful of their friendship and love. We will truly miss her. The Lytwyn family wishes to thank the nursing staff at the Victoria General Hospital. A special thank you to all the family and friends for their phone calls, visits, cards, and prayers. In lieu of flowers, Vickies wishes were that donations be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 193 Sherbrook St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 2B7; or the Manitoba Heart and Stroke Foundation, 301-352 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3B 2H8. A memorial service will take place this summer in Winnipegosis, with the date to be announced later.
