He arrived in Canada with his mother and brother in 1953, and settled in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Harry obtained his journeymans papers as a stone mason and worked as such in the early years of his career. Harry soon mastered several trades and put this versatility to work for Reimar Interior and later for Advance Acoustics. Harry retired in September of 1999 and moved with Trudy to Abbotsford, B.C., in October of the same year. Harry was a dedicated member of Mission Baptist Church, and enjoyed singing in the various choirs and serving the Lord in many capacities. It was here that Harry met Trudy Adam and they married September 9, 1961. God blessed this marriage with two wonderful daughters, of whom Harry was very proud. Harrys priority was to provide for his familys every need, and he was a devoted and loving father and husband. He would often say "as long as my three girls are happy, Im happy." Harry thoroughly enjoyed his time of retirement. His gentle spirit and generous nature endeared him to all who had the privilege of knowing him. Harry will be genuinely missed by his family and friends. A funeral service will be held at Clearbrook Mennonite Brethren Church, 2719 Clearbrook Rd. in Abbotsford, on Wednesday February 7, at 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Boniface Hospital Research Foundation, Heart Fund, D1003- 409 Tache Ave, Winnipeg, Manitoba, R2H 2A6.
