Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryROLAND EION R. BENNETT Suddenly on February 2, 2001 in Winnipeg, Roland Bennett aged 77. Rollie was born at home in Calgary, Alta., on September 3, 1923. He studied Civil Engineering in Calgary and later Business in Saskatoon. Rollie enlisted in the Military in 1943 and was involved in the Transportation of Officials in Ottawa. He moved his family to Saskatoon, Regina and in 1970 to Lynn Lake, Man., where he was employed by Sherritt Gordon Mines as Manager of Special Services. He will be lovingly remembered by his angel and companion Donna Thompson; daughter Ginny Muirhead of Sault Ste. Marie, Ont., and grandson Peter Muirhead of Moncton, New Brunswick; son Lindsay, daughter-in-law Ingrid and granddaughter Ashleigh Bennett of Gimli, Man., also numerous nieces and nephews and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, George and Vera (nee Winter) and brother William Ritson-Bennett. Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 7 at Neil Bardal Inc., 984 Portage Ave., Winnipeg, Aubrey Street entrance, with Chaplin Vi Chaulk officiating. Interment to be held at a later date. Thanks for the years you gave us, For all the dreams we shared, We only pray when you left us, That you knew how much we cared, Forever loved, forever dear.
