Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryBONNIE WALLIS It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our Mother, Grand-mother, and friend, Bonnie, after a brief but brave and courageous battle with cancer, on February 3, 2001, at the age of 66. She was predeceased by her husband Lynn. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Brad (Bev), Drew (special friend Lee-Ann), Darcy (Nic) Mundey, daughter-in-law Wendy Wallis; grandchildren, Adam, Heather, Samantha, Michael, Rene, Jessica, and Katie; great-grandchildren Telisa and Natasha; brother Glen (Rose) and their children Kent, Scott, and Cheryl. She greatly enjoyed and appreciated the love, care, and companionship of her dear friends Pearl Hurst and Jan Jones. Mom was born on July 30, 1934, and was raised in Winnipeg. She worked for J.R. Stephenson Ltd. for five years before marrying Lynn in 1957 and starting her family. After raising her family she returned to J.R. Stephenson Ltd. in the late 1970s and remained there until her retirement in 1994. Bonnie had many interests, her passions being her cross-stitch, Aquasize, and her casino jaunts to the U.S. She loved to watch curling, golf, and figure skating. She also loved to sit on the front porch of her cottage at Sandy Hook doing her cross-stitch or crossword puzzles. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Bonnies memory to the Manitoba Cancer Society, 193 Sherbrook St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 2B7. Memorial service will be held on Thursday, February 8, 2001, at 12:30 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue. A reception will follow in the Chapel Lawn Reception Centre.
