Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryRONALD JOSEPH CREEK On Saturday, February 3, 2001, after a courageous fight with cancer, the Lord lifted Ron into His arms and carried him Home. Ron was born on October 17, 1943. He grew up surrounded by a loving family, on a dairy farm in Rosewood, Man. After attending school in Rosewood, he moved to Winnipeg for employment. He worked at a bottle making company, Dawn Plastics, for a couple of years. In 1969 Ron began working as machine adjuster at Barber Ellis, now known as Innova Envelope. He was a dedicated employee of Innova from July 1969 until his disability in December 1999. During these years he made many lasting friendships by his genuine interest in people. Family and friends meant the world to Ron, and he never failed to offer a helping hand or an understanding ear. Ron was predeceased by his father Edward in 1974; mother Elizabeth in 1998; sister Eileen Houlind in 1990; brothers-in-law, John Houlind (1992), Joe Carrette (1979) and Gerard Carrette (2001) father-in-law Julien (1986). Ron leaves to cherish his memory his loving and devoted wife Mary; daughters, Jerrie Mae and husband Darren Shalley and Cynthia Dawn; twin brother Donald and wife Violet; brother Leslie and wife Dorothy. -- Mother-in-law Elizabeth Carrette; brother and sisters-in-law, Bernie and Fritz Hanssen, Don and Sharon Carrette, Neil and Paulette Carrette, Alice Carrette and Ken Check, Jim and Jodi Carrette, Leigh-Ann Carrette, Liz and Troy Osterlund. -- Also numerous and very special nieces, nephews and close friends. Viewing will be held on Thursday, February 8 from 7:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in Green Acres Funeral Chapel, Hwy. #1 East at Green Acres Lane. Funeral service will be held on Friday, February 9 at 2:30 p.m., also in Green Acres Funeral Chapel, with Pastor Paul Gehrs and Pastor Charlotte Kalthoff officiating. A special thank you to all the friends, family, doctors and nurses who made Dads last few years so special. Flowers are gratefully declined.
