WILLIAM JOSEPH BALNEAVES On February 6, 2001 at the River East Personal Care Home, W. Joseph Balneaves, aged 85 years, beloved husband of Rachel Balneaves. Joe was born in Miami, MB on December 5, 1915. He had worked at the Winnipeg Post Office for many years prior to his retirement. Joe was active in many sporting events - 5 pin, lawn and carpet bowling to mention a few. For 14 years, he and Rachel operated the seniors dances at 180 Poplar. Predeceased by his brother John and sisters Mary and Margaret, Joe is survived by his wife Rachel and by one brother Les and his family. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February, 8 at 1:00 p.m. in the Thomson Funeral Chapels, 669 Broadway. Interment will follow in Elmwood Cemetery.
