Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryHELEN TAYLOR DANN (nee GRAY) Born July 9, 1926, Helen died on Monday, February 5, 2001 in the Grace Hospital with her family by her side. Helen is survived by her husband Bernie; children, Nancy (Royden), Jim (Chris and grandchildren Maggie and Callum), Jeff (Susan) sister-in-law Shirley and Bassam Madany and family. She was predeceased by her parents James and Katherine Gray. Helen was a teacher in Portage La Prairie and St. James Assiniboia. She maintained an interest in education after early retirement due to a stroke. Helen was an avid reader, a fine hostess and a loving wife, mother and loyal friend. Her family wishes to thank Drs. Mulder, Mackintosh and Fletcher, the Oncology and Palliative Care Units of the Grace Hospital, including the nurses, aides, pastoral care workers, pharmacists, therapists, student nurses, volunteers, the VON and Homecare for their exceptional care and love they gave Helen and ourselves. Angels could do no more. We thank Westwood Library for the "Talking Books" service she so enjoyed. Lastly, we thank our friends whose strengths so helped carry us through this difficult time - you know who you are. Cremation has taken place and at Helens request there will be no service. Flowers are gratefully declined.
