FRANCIS ROBERT STILL Francis Robert Still, late of Chilliwack, BC, passed away February 2, 2001, at the age of 79 years. He was born May 21, 1921 in Stonewall, MB. He served with the Royal Winnipeg Rifles from February 1, 1943 to January 26, 1946 as a Lance Corporal. He served in the United Kingdom and Continental Europe. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 8 at 1:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Hendersons Funeral Home. Major Angus Haggarty officiating. Cremation, Valley Crematorium, Chilliwack. His love for his family was genuine and Francis is survived by his wife Bernice and five daughters, Carol Lynn Telford of Courtenay, Judy (Walter) Hildebrandt of Abbotsford, Deborah Trotter, Donna (Douglas) Webster, and Janie (Gary) Both, all of Chilliwack. Also survived by 16 grandchildren, 13 great-grand-children, special niece and nephew Larry and Barbara Allan of Richmond, and very good friend Gordon Reid of Maple Ridge. The family would like to thank the staff in Palliative Care Unit at the Chilliwack General Hospital for the extended care and compassion shown. Special thanks to Dr. R.B. MacLeod who provided Francis with 34 years of care and attention. Should family and friends so desire, donations in his memory may be made to the War Amps of Canada.
