ANNA SIEBER (nee WASIO) Suddenly, on February 6, 2001, Anna Sieber, aged 87 years, passed away at the Grace Hospital. Anna was predeceased by her husband Paul; her parents, John and Helen Wasio; four brothers, Nick (Mary), Mike, Victor and Tony (Georgina) sisters, Albina, Rose, Teenie and Josephine. She is survived by her two sisters, Mary Wasio and Olga Mesky; also numerous nieces and nephews. Anna was born in Malonton, MB in 1914. She spent her younger years here, then moved to Winnipeg and then to Toronto in her adult years where she married Paul. They had a career in market gardening until their retirement. Anna moved back to Winnipeg in 1991 to be closer to her family. Annas final year and a half was spent at the Charleswood Care Centre. The family would like to thank the staff at the Charleswood Care Centre and the staff at the Grace Hospital 2nd floor, West Wing for their care and compassion. Viewing will be held on Friday, February 9, from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 10 at 10:00 a.m., also at Cropo Funeral Chapel with Pastor Bruce Logan officiating. Interment will follow in the Pleasant Home Cemetery, Teulon, MB. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations may be made in Annas memory to The Salvation Army or a charity of ones choice.
