JEAN EDNA BROWN (Slinger) October 5, 1909 - February 1, 2001 Jean, a long time resident of Winnipeg, passed away on February 1, 2001. She was predeceased by her husband of 55 years, A. Miller on February 16, 1990 and five years later moved to Thunder Bay in order to be closer to family members. She is loved and survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Bruce and Nora of Thunder Bay and Gary and Deanna of Franktown, Colorado; five grand-children; seven great-grandchildren and her brother Stephen in California. Jean was bright and cheerful until the end and will be remembered by all who she met for "telling it the way it is" and for her delightful dry humour. She, and her family, very much appreciate the care given her and the compassion shown during the last weeks of her life on earth by both the staff of 5 North and South at St. Josephs Hospital in Thunder Bay and Dr. G. Davis. At her request cremation has taken place. Please contact Bruce Brown in Thunder Bay at 807-345-3505 for information regarding the memorial service to be held in Winnipeg on March 10th. Those we love dont go away They walk beside us every day Unseen, unheard but always near Still loved, still missed and very dear.
