LUCY CARTWRIGHT (nee MEDWID) 1935 - 2001 The Medwid family sadly announces the untimely passing of their sister Lucy, in Tempe, AZ on February 6, 2001. She had been diagnosed with A.L.S. in May 1999, and dealt with her illness with great courage and dignity. She is survived by her loving children, daughter Alison, and son George (Sandra) and grandchildren, Sierra and Cade. Her parents, John and Helen Medwid and her sister Marian Makowski predeceased her. Also left to mourn her loss are her brothers, Steve (Lorraine) of Argyle, Willie (Ida) of Winnipeg, Peter (Jean) of Stonewall, Jim (Margaret) of Balmoral, as well as her two sisters, Jean (Ed) Sawatzky of Calgary, and Margaret (Russel) Beirnes of Stony Mountain; her special friend Sandy Hill (Sudbury, ON) brother-in-law Peter Makowski, and many nieces and nephews will also mourn her loss.
