HELEN MARY SAULNIER (nee SULLIVAN) (1919 - 2001) Peacefully, at home, after a short illness on Friday, February 9, 2001 at the age of 81 years. Helen left her earthly home to join her Lord. Helen will be lovingly remembered by her beloved husband of 54 years, Lawrence (Canadian Armed Forces) and later Magistrate in Northern Manitoba; her married sons, David (Lynn) and their children, Breanna, Meagan and Brad of Delta, B.C.; Phil (Sherry) and their children, Ryan and Justin of Winnipeg; and son Jim Aulenbach and family of Nova Scotia; daughters, Margaret Saulnier and her sons, Denny Loverin (Lisa) and Darren (Shannon) and Marie Saulnier of Winnipeg. She is also survived by her sister Susan (Jack Leydon) and brother Donald Sullivan (Marg) of Nova Scotia; as well as many nieces and nephews who loved her. She was predeceased by her parents, Richard A. Sullivan and Maude (nee Smiley) brothers, Tom, George, Edward, Patrick and Harold and sisters, Camilla and Geraldine. Helen was born on Lawlors Island (Halifax County), N.S. She married Larry in 1946 in Digby, N.S., and they lived in Halifax, Kingston, Edmonton and Winnipeg. She was a devoted wife, mother and homemaker. Helen spent her entire life caring for her family. She was supportive, kind, generous, wise and unselfish. Her loyalty and strength of character was unmatched as was her strong belief system which made her who she was. "MOM, YOU WERE ALWAYS THERE FOR US. OUR LOVE FOR YOU IS STRONGER THAN YOU WILL EVER KNOW AND YOU HAVE NO IDEA HOW MUCH YOU WILL BE MISSED." Mass of Christian Burial for Helen will be celebrated on Tuesday, February 13 at 2:00 p.m., in St. Paul the Apostle Roman Catholic Church, 2400 Portage Avenue with Rev. Msgr. Ward Jamieson presiding.
