HARKISANDAS HIRACHAND SHAH March 23, 1926 - February 8, 2001 Our beloved Harkisandas Shah passed away at the age of 74, suddenly and peacefully in his sleep, on Thursday, February 8, 2001. He was born and raised in Prabhas-Patan, India. He lived for many years in Aden (South Yemen), before immigrating to Canada in 1983. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Hasumati; as well as his five children, Bharat (Kala), Ila (Pankaj), Chandani (Harish), Dhiren (Sushma) and Dina (Hemant). Dadaji will be sadly missed by his eight grandchildren, Lena, Reena, Mansi, Reema, Bansi, Pooja, Pratik and Priya; as well as by many other family members in India and the U.K.; and members of the community. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, February 11 at 2:00 p.m. in the Leatherdale Gardiner Funeral Chapel, 1501 Waverley St. Prayer and Shanti Path will be held at the Hindu Temple (Ellice Avenue) on Sunday, February 11 at 7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Hindu Society of Manitoba (Temple Fund), 854 Ellice Ave., Winnipeg, MB, R3G 0C4.
