Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryELEANORE ANGELA LENHARDT Peacefully, on Wednesday, February 7, 2001, Eleanore Angela Lenhardt passed away at the Victoria Hospital at the age of 91. Eleanore was predeceased by her husband George (October 1979), her parents, Tom and Mary Olander, four brothers and two sisters. Eleanore will be lovingly remembered and missed by her children, Ruth Eccles (Jim), Jo Hannay (Savoie), Tom (Linda) and John (Mavis) grandchildren, Deborah Brown (Gene), Nancy Krebs (Eldon), Mark Savoie (Lynn), John Hannay (Shawna), Tyler and Alyson Lenhardt, Sean and Andrew Lenhardt; seven great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Eleanore was born on September 26, 1909 in Winnipeg, MB. Her family later moved to St. Martin, MB where they farmed and did commercial fishing. She left home for the big city at the tender age of 14 and worked at various jobs before moving to Saskatoon where she met and married "her Waterloo." George and Eleanore made their home in Winnipeg, where they raised their four children. Some of Eleanores endeavours included working at the University of Manitoba and the Winnipeg Childrens Hospital laboratories. She was also an active member of the Womens Auxillary at Rockwood Legion. Eleanore will always be remembered for her sense of humour and ability to be open and honest no matter what the situation. Eleanore loved spending time with family and friends. She was a hard-working woman who enjoyed gardening, cooking, canning and most especially a good game of cribbage. Memorial service will be held on Tuesday, February 13 at 10:30 a.m. at Golden Links Lodge, 2280 St. Marys Rd. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Eleanores memory to Golden Links Lodge in appreciation for their excellent care of Eleanore in her latter years.
