Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDORIS MAY BENTLEY (nee MILLER) Peacefully on Friday, February 9, 2001, Doris Bentley, age 82 years, passed away at the Grace Hospital. She was predeceased by her husband Fredrick in 1993; brothers, Sid, Fred, Albert and Percy and sisters, Ede and Lucille. Doris will be lovingly remembered by her children, Gail (Tom) Wiebe of Winnipeg, Diane (John) Wright of Regina; grandchildren, Kyle and Brock Eadie of Regina, Michael and Andrew Wright of Regina; one sister Florence Burwell of Vancouver; sisters-in-law, Gertie Miller of Edmonton, Maisie Simons and Mable Bentley of Winnipeg and Doris Miller of Victoria; many nieces and nephews and other family members. Mom was an avid sports woman who enjoyed a variety of activities including, hockey, softball and golf. She also enjoyed bowling and was for many years a member of the Iowaka Ladies Bowling League. Mom and Dad enjoyed entertaining friends and family, and all of us will remember the gatherings on Royal Avenue highlighted by her "world famous brownie." A memorial service will be held on Monday, February 12 at 4:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. The family wishes to thank the staff at Deer Lodge Centre, 4 West, where Mom resided for the last nine months, and also the staff at Grace Hospital for all their care and compassion. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations may be made in Doriss memory to Manitoba Lung Association, 629 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, Man., R3A 1P6, or St. Annes Anglican Church, 253 Burrin Ave., Winnipeg, Man., R2V 1E6.
