Correction of Service Date WALTER JAMES HEILMAN Suddenly on August 30, 1999, Dad passed away at the Health Sciences Centre. He will be sadly missed by his wife Bea; his children, Wilma, Gerald, Gordon, Lawrence; his stepchildren, Charlie, Jim and Sharon and their families; his sister Mary, husband Bob and family; brother Delmer, wife Vicki and family; brother Jeff, wife Noella and family; ten grandchildren; numerous friends and relatives. Dad was born in Scanterbury, MB, April 26, 1933 and spent many years living in Grand Marais. During that time he worked hard to help support his family. In 1960 he met Joan Latrail, on September 9, 1961 they were married. They raised their five children in Winnipeg. Dad worked at numerous jobs in his life, even during mothers illness he continued to work and raised their family. Mom eventually died in 1992. Dad was alone for the first time in 30 years. He met Bea Leyte in 1993 and on October 30, 1993 they married and were looking forward to their 6th anniversary together. Walter was predeceased by his wife Joan; his parents, Joseph and Edna Heilman; sister Norma Irvine; and daughter Jeanette Heilman. The family would like to thank the staff of the Health Sciences Centre for their kindness in making his stay there as comfortable as possible. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, September 8 at Bardal Funeral Home, 843 Sherbrook St., with visitation one hour prior to service. Cremation to follow.
