SOPHIA PETROW (nee ZYRUCHA) Peacefully at St. Boniface Hospital on February 11, 2001 at the age of 75 years, Sophia Petrow passed away. She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Pat (Bill) her son Lloyd (Lisa) and her granddaughter Wendy. She also leaves to mourn her sister Helen (Paul) Zeglinski; her nephews and niece, Michael (Debbie), Bob (Cindy), David (Kim), Donna (Richard) and Leonard (Julie). Sophia was predeceased by her husband William, father William, mother Maria, sisters Ann and Louise. Sophia lived in St. Boniface all her life and she enjoyed travelling and time spent at her cottage at the lake. Her generosity will be missed by her friends and family. The family would like to thank the doctors and staff of the St. Boniface Hospital for their care and compassion. Prayers will be said at 7:00 p.m. at Desjardins Funeral Chapel, 357 Des Meurons St. on Thursday, February 15. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. at the Sts. Peter and Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church, 390 Marion St., on Friday, February 16. Interment to follow at the St. Boniface Cemetery. A gathering of family and friends will follow at Desjardins Funeral Chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Sophias memory to the Canadian Cancer Society (Manitoba Division), 193 Sherbrook St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 2B7.
