NORA EVELYN KOPS August 3, 1915 - February 11, 2001 On February 11, 2001 at the Middlechurch Home of Winnipeg, Evelyn Kops, beloved wife of John Kops, passed away. Besides her husband, she is survived by family members Bill, John and Doug; Ruth, Colleen and Barbara; grandchildren, Robin and Mairen; and her dear nieces and nephews. Evelyn was predeceased by sister Maisie; brothers, Buster and Bill. Evelyn was born and raised in Winnipeg. She lived her life in Elmwood, residing on Chalmers and Martin Avenues. She was an active volunteer at the Kelvin Community Club, and various local charities, as well as a member of the Elmwood Womens Bowling League. Evelyn was a work at home mother, but also was employed for many years at Eatons Downtown. She handled lifes challenges with determination and zest, including her years with Parkinsons Disease. Special thanks to the staff at Middlechurch Home for five years of friendship and care. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 14 at 1:00 p.m. at Klassen Funeral Chapel, 1897 Henderson Highway with Chaplain Lynne Austen officiating. Interment to follow in Elmwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Parkinsons Foundation of Canada, 204-825 Sherbrook St., Winnipeg, R3A 1M5 or to Middlechurch Home of Winnipeg, 280 Balderstone Ave., West St. Paul, MB R4A 4A6. Arrangements entrusted to Klassen Funeral Chapel, 338-0331.
