Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryHILDA WHITTINGHAM Hilda Whittingham passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 20, 2001 at Misericordia Place in her 102nd year. She is predeceased by her husband Harry; sons, Garvie Rae and Kenn Whittingham. She leaves to cherish her memory son Gordon (Betty) of Delta, B.C. and daughters-in-law, Millie Rae and Elisabeth Whittingham. Also seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Her family wish to extend grateful thanks to the staff at Misericordia Place for their excellent care. We also appreciate the visits made to her by relatives and friends. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 24 at 12:30 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue. A reception will follow in the Chapel Lawn Reception Centre. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire donations may be made in Hildas memory to the Misericordia Foundation (Misericordia Place), 99 Cornish Avenue, Winnipeg MB, R3C 1A2. Dear Hilda, I miss you, I often think of you and repeat the stories or advice you gave me as a new young wife and mom, you are so right about “don’t rush the kids growing up before you know they will be all grown” it only seems like yesterday that I sat and heard those words as I carried my baby boy, gosh I wish you could of met him, I remember you telling me to stand up and you examine my tummy telling me it’s a boy!
