MARY ELIZABETH MATHESON Peacefully, at Golden West Centennial Lodge, Mary passed away on January 28, 2001 at the age of 87 years. Mary was predeceased by her brother Bob and sister Jean in 1996. She is survived by her sister-in-law Nona; nieces, Maureen in Winnipeg and Lynette in Alberta; nephews, Dwayne, (AB), Bruce (BC) and Tom (BC). Mary was born in Hamilton, ON, moving to Winnipeg as a baby. She lived all her life in St. James and worked at Eatons mail order for over 40 years, retiring in 1976. Mary loved being outside and spent many hours tending her flowers and garden. On Saturdays, she was in the kitchen filling all the tins in the pantry with her wonderful baking. Funeral service will be held on Friday, February 16 at 2:00 p.m. in the Leatherdale Gardiner Funeral Chapel, 1858 Portage Ave. Should friends desire, donations in Marys memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 301-352 Donald St., Winnipeg.
