Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJOHN (IWAN) SKORODENSKY May 22, 1900 - February 7, 2001 Peacefully on Thursday, February 7, 2001, John Skorodensky passed away at Holy Family Nursing Home at the age of 100 years. Lovingly remembered by sister-in-law Ann Skorodensky; nieces, Helen (Robert) Whitlaw and Jean Skorodensky; nephews, Joe Hawkeye of Edmonton and Michael Hawkeye of Bellevue, WA, and numerous relatives residing in Winnipeg and Ukraine. Born in Ukraine, John arrived in Canada in 1950, residing with his brother Nicholas and sister-in-law Ann for the first few years of his new life. John worked at a variety of jobs before becoming an orderly at Holy Family Nursing Home where he was employed for some 25 years. John was a very serious, sincere and quiet man who had a great love for his church. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, February 14, 2001 at Sts. Vladimir and Olga Cathedral, 115 McGregor St. with Rev. M. Kouts officiating. Interment to follow in All Saints Cemetery.
