Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryHAZEL MAY SCURFIELD It is with sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, Hazel May Scurfield, on Monday, February 12, 2001 at the Grace Hospital. Hazel was born on January 30, 1917 in Kamsack, Saskatchewan to Nancy and Roy McFayden. The family spent many years at Oak Bluff before moving to Winnipeg where Hazel worked for a few years at Eatons until she married Tom. Hazel was predeceased by her husband Tom; parents, Nancy and Roy; sisters, Jean and Barbara; brother Hughie and many sisters and brothers-in-law. Hazel is survived by her loving children, son Jim; daughter Anne Hacksley (Mark) granddaughters, Carolyn (Erick) and Katherine Hacksley; sister and brother-in-law Maybelle and Laurie Fraser, brother-in-law Charlie Reiach and sister-in-law Isobel Scurfield, as well as many nieces and nephews. Hazel had a great sense of humour and loved her bridge and the VLTs. She was a person who always put others needs ahead of her own and was devoted to her family. For 30 years Hazel cared for and worried about Tom who had suffered many health problems in his lifetime. Mums absence will leave a void in our lives never to be replaced. In accordance with Mums wishes cremation has taken place and a service of remembrance will be held on Friday, February 16 at 1:00 p.m. in Thomson Funeral Chapels, 669 Broadway with Rev. Dr. Mac Watts officiating. The service will conclude at the Chapel and Hazel will be laid to rest beside her husband Tom in Clearwater, Manitoba at a later date. Donations may be made to a charity of your choice in memory of Hazel. "Peace be with you Mum." THOMSON FUNERAL CHAPELS 783-7211
