EMILE (E.J.) LANGHAN Peacefully on February 12, 2001, Emile Langhan passed away at the Tache Centre at the age of 84 years. Emile (E.J.) was born in Haywood, Man., to Edouard and Placidie on March 14, 1916. E.J. leaves to cherish his memory his beloved wife for the past 60 years, Denise; his five sons, Michel (Irene), Paul (Mary), Alain (Debbie), Gerard (Carmel) and Marcel (Debbie) 13 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. E.J. served his country during the Second World War as part of the Ambulance Corps. Upon his return from the front, he worked as a carpenter for Bird Construction for many years, all the while, loving his craft. Funeral services will be held at the Sts-Martyrs-Canadiens Roman Catholic Church, 289 Dussault in Windsor Park on Thursday, February 15 at 2:00 p.m. Father Leo Couture will celebrate the funeral mass. Viewing will begin prior to the mass at 1:30 p.m. The service will terminate at the church and cremation will follow. Private interment of Emiles cremated remains will take place in the St. Pierre Parish Cemetery at a later date. The family extends special thanks to Dr. Coates and the staff at the Tache Centre, especially Myrna (Big Red) and Chantalle for the love and attention they gave Dad during his stay. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to do so may make a donation in E.J.s memory to the Tache Centre, 185 Despins St., St. Boniface, Man., R2H 2B3. LECLAIRE BROTHERS in care of arrangements. 775-2220.
