MARY KASMERSKI It is with the deepest sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Mary at the age of 75 years, on Tuesday, February 13, 2001, at Concordia Hospital, Winnipeg, Man. Mary was born on February 1, 1926, in Celo Lizanowka, Povit Skalat in the Western Ukraine. She immigrated to Canada with her family in 1928, where they resided in the Brokenhead area. Mary and Mike were married in 1949 and they farmed in Dencross. In 1977 Mike and Mary moved to Beausejour, where Mary worked at Vickies Snack Bar until she retired. She was a loving, kind and generous person, as well as a supportive and dedicated wife, mother and grandmother. Mary always cared for others first and placed herself last. Her outgoing personality made her many friends. Her home was always open to family and friends. Their lives were enriched by her presence and nourished by her great cooking abilities. She was a longtime member of St. Mary Roman Catholic Church and the Catholic Womens League. Mary will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her husband Michael; daughters, Joyce Petryk and Darlene Campbell (Paul) granddaughter Kristin Petryk; sisters, Ann Luchishin and Dorothy Soluk (Peter) brothers, Mike Carr and Tony Cieszecki (Mary) as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives, friends and neighbours. She was predeceased by her parents Onfrey and Katherine Cieszecki, brother John Cieszecki and by her son-in-law John Petryk. Relatives and friends are invited for viewing on Friday evening, February 16 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., in St. Mary Roman Catholic Church, Beausejour, Man. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, February 17 at 10:00 a.m., also in the Church with Rev. Fr. Owen Steeves presiding. For those who wish, Marys interment will be held in the Holy Family Cemetery, 4355 Main St., Winnipeg, Man., following her reception. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, memorial donations may be made in Marys memory to the Manitoba Heart and Stroke Foundation, 301 - 352 Donald St., Winnipeg, Man., R3B 2H8, or to St. Mary Roman Catholic Church, P.O.
