GRACE ATEAH After a lengthy battle, Grace Elizabeth Ateah passed away on February 12, 2001, at home. She was predeceased by her mother, father, husband, son, and grandsons. Grace leaves behind her daughter Gwen and husband Carl Pasveer of Winnipeg; son Wayne and wife Shirley Giles of British Columbia; grandkids, Wanda (Darren), Stan, Joe, Kim (Cam), Chris, Richard, Donald, and William; great-grandkids, Tamara, Samantha, Zach, Christina, Atasha, Kristien, Brandon, and Dylan; sisters, Winnie, Renee, and Fern; brothers Stan and Jack. Grace was born on March 6, 1923, in the town of Rosser, MB. She worked at Canadian Linen for many years. Her hobbies included ceramics, gardening, spending time with loved ones, and also smoking and Diet Coke. Mothers love, kindness, and generosity will forever stay in our hearts. Many thanks to all the staff of the 5th floor at St. Boniface. We could not have done it without you. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association, 102 - 310 Broadway, Winnipeg, MB R3C 0S6. Funeral service will be held on Friday, February 16 at 10:00 a.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. Visitation will be held one half hour prior to service time.
