Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryEDWARD ALEXANDER MROZ Peacefully, on Sunday, February 11, 2001, with his daughter Valerie by his side, Edward Mroz, age 92, passed away at the Seven Oaks Hospital. Edward is survived by his sons, Edward Jr., Gary (Audrey) daughter Valerie (Greg) Lupal; grandchildren, Danielle, Timothy, Krista, Tracy, Kenra, Geoffrey, Perry; 8 great-grandchildren; sister Mary Berntt; sisters-in-law, Anne Przednowek, Mary Nikodem and Elsie Fandych. He was predeceased by his wife Nellie in 1971. Edwards career started in the early 1930s as a teacher. From 1944 to 1947 he served as principal in Lac du Bonnet. Edward then ran a general store in River Hills until 1961. He then returned to teaching until his retirement in 1973. Edward enjoyed sports, gardening and reading. He was able to work in his garden until his early 90s. Edward will be remembered as a kind and generous man. Prayers will be said on Wednesday (tonight), February 14, at 7:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, February 15, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church, 250 Burrin Avenue with Msgr. Louis McCloskey, P.H. officiating. Interment will follow in Holy Ghost Cemetery. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL in care of arrangements, 586-8044.
