ANNE ELIZABETH HAMMERSTEDT November 16, 1928 - February 10, 2001 Anne passed away suddenly on February 10, 2001, at Lake of the Woods District Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Anne was predeceased by her parents Lillian and Charles Paul, sister Marion (Braaten), brother William, her son Derek, son-in-law Bruce McLean. She is survived by her devoted husband Rollie; daughters, Wendy Cook, Karen (Doug) Iwanoczko, Carla McLean, Paula Zeaton (David King) and son Wayne Bosso (Darlene Ormondroyd; brothers, Chuck (Shirley), Herb (Bonnie), Bob, Jack (Inez) sisters, Dorothy Wells (Wayne), Betty Sweder (Joe) brother-in-law David Braaten. Anne will be remembered with love by her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and special family friend Dawn. Anne was born in Orillia, Ont., and came to Kenora (Jaffray Melick area) at a young age. Most of her adult life was spent in Redditt. As a young girl she was employed by Barneys Ball Lake Lodge. She continued to work at various jobs while raising her family, eventually becoming partners with her husband in Redditt Aviation. While she was a silent partner with Rollie, she began working at the Ho-Ho at a job she really loved, for people she really loved (Wong family). Anne retired in 1996. It was Annes wish to be cremated and that no service be held. A private family interment will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, and if friends so desire, donations can be made to the Lake of the Woods District Hospital Fund, or the Salvation Army (Kenora). The Brown Funeral Home entrusted with arrangements.
